JOIN THE BERKSHIRE BARRACUDAS

Does your child have a love for the water? Would they like to compete in a sport as a team and as an individual? Then the Berkshire Barracudas would love to have your child join their team!

The Berkshire Barracudas form part of the Gwinnett County Swim League who holds competition meets around the Gwinnett County area!

All levels of swimming are encouraged to join. We just ask that your child have a love for the water and a desire to learn the different strokes.  If your swimmer is between the ages 4 and 18 and would like to join a Gwinnett Swim League Team, he or she would be welcome to be part of our 2026 Team. 

If your child is unable to independently complete the length of the pool, they will be considered a bubble swimmer and be a non-compete member of the team.

Bubbles are swimmers ages 4+ that are not able to swim the length of the pool on their own.

• Swimmers must be age 4 by June 1, 2026
• Practices are Monday – Friday, beginning Wednesday, May 27 – June 27 (In conjunction with the swim team schedule)
• We will have small group 25 minute lessons (2-4 swimmers per group)
• 8:30 – 10:00 am broken up in 25 minute segments with a 5 minute transition between groups.
• Lessons will be taught by junior volunteer coaches and overseen by our swim team coaches.
• Coaches will be in the water with the swimmers
• Registration fees include a swim team t-shirt (if registered by 4/29/26)
• We ask that one parent stay at practice to be available if needed.
• Bubbles spots are limited

We offer a team of experienced coaches who have taught and competed in the sport. The Barracuda season lasts from mid-May to the second week in July.

The UNOFFICIAL start of the swim season is May 11, 2026. 

OFFICIAL start of the swim season is May 26, 2026.
